スチレンタイプの熱可塑性エラストマー（スチレンブロック共重合体の部門としても知られ、SBCと呼ばれるスチレンブロック共重合体）は世界最大の出力であり、ゴムの性能は熱可塑性エラストマーSBCシリーズの種類に最も類似していますすなわち：スチレン-ブタジエン-スチレンブロック共重合体（SBS）;スチレン-イソプレン-スチレンブロック共重合体（SIS）;スチレン-エチレン-ブテン-スチレンブロック共重合体（SEBS）;スチレン-エチレン-プロピレン-スチレンブロック共重合体（SEPS） SEBSとSEPSは、それぞれSBSとSISの水素化共重合体です。

SBSスチレン熱可塑性エラストマーはSBCの一種で、最大の出力（70％以上を占める）、最小のコスト、幅広い用途を備えています。スチレンとブタジエンをモノマーとしたトリブロック共重合体で、プラスチックとゴムの特性を持っています。「第3世代合成ゴム」として知られています。スチレンブタジエンゴムと同様に、SBSは水、弱酸、アルカリなどと接触することができ、優れた引張強度、大きな表面摩擦係数、優れた低温性能、優れた電気的性能、優れた加工性能などの特性を備えています。熱可塑性エラストマーの最大の消費量。
